I was tired of having to carry my garage opener with me downstairs from my apartment every time I left. I got this so I could leave it on my keys for the vehicle in my garage. It was very easy to get set up and the battery has lasted very long. It's still working great and I have yet to change it after many months of use. It's also not too bulky to be annoying on my keychain. My gate is controlled by a liftmaster sliding motor and this a perfect remote for it.This works great if you have a car you park outside. You can easily use this garage remote without having to leave it in the car. Easy to program.MUY BUENOUsed U TUBE to program unit easyEasy to program.Received keychain remote and it was super easy to program. No longer need to mess with the larger garage door remote with a broken clip. Just grab my keys and the remote is there and ready to use.Small enough for keychain, easy to program! Happy so far.Moving to our new home, the previous occupants had only one vehicle remote, plus an awkwardly-placed garage control panel. I did not want a keypad unit outside. So we added a further car remote for my car, plus a hall-stand 890 key fob remote. This makes it much more convenient to come in and out.The unit is easy to set up. Follow instructions packaged with the 890. Make sure it’s out of reach of kids, grandkids.Keep the door unit in your sight when closing the door. I would not take the device outside, you could lose it or have it taken from yo.IPS I was not happy to see a similar unit posted by Amazon but $20 cheaper. I’m not thrilled by that!Ive tried a few of the much cheaper keychain style remotesbut none of them ever worked. This one couldnt be any easier to program. Not as fancy looking but it works and as sturdy feeling as the bigger remotes with the clipsPurchased 2 of these for my Liftmaster 8355W Premium Series. It took longer to open the packages than it did to program the remotes to the garage door opener. This is how simple it is:1. Walk into your garage, use a pin and press into the remote to begin the programming2. Click the large button on your new remote control and release as soon as you see lights flash on your new remote control3. Click the learn button on your garage door opener4. Click the main button on your new remote control and release as soon as the lights on your garage door opener start to flash5. Click the main button on your remote and the garage door will open. DoneI was a block away and tested the remote. The garage door opened no problem so I question one negative review I read where the buyer claimed these remotes have weak signals.Another person commented on a sensitive remote that will open easily. True, the remote will open the door on a click when you touch it. This to me is positive.Great that the buttons are very sensitive, especially when using gloves, but it means that when this key fob is in your pocket with other keys, items, etc. a button could get pushed and a door opening signal might be sent. This has happened a couple of times, leaving my garage door open all night. So, if you cut some light plastic or other material and attach it like a little door to the end of this key fob over teh buttons it will stop such accidental button pushes. Great product that just needed a little DIY tweak. This remote needs to be programmed to the garage opener “learning” coloured button.Eg. green, blue, red, yellowEnter the remote program mode and press 1-4 times for the selected button.
