It works as it should. The one it replaced had a lower track that bolted together this one just slides together my old opener had all metal parts this one has a lot of plastic pieces but it's working fine. For the price I think it's a good buy.Was a little more difficult to install than I anticipated but once I figured it out it went well. Works as expected. Good priceTrack is a little short compared to the one it replaced. It’s a littleMore complex than expected I’d your not mechanically inclined this product will be difficult to installDefinitely is a two person job to install and requires some thinking. The online instructions in 3D made it alot easier to accomplish.First:The unit will not operate without the utterly useless "safety light" beam connected. They have some bizarre name for the the things, but you'll figure that out. In the first place ALL those things do is stop the door if something is blocking the light beam. I guess if the kid leaves its tricycle in the door's path the door will cut it in two?? NO? Then those things need to be thrown away, but if you do, the door will not work.Work around: Tape them together transmitter facing receiver. Wire them with about a foot of the wire provided and connect to motor as shown. Then affix them to the ceiling mount (which you will have to build) so they are out of the way and doing nothing, as they should be.Second:The basic mechanical installation POSTER is easy to follow and fairly clear. It leaves you at the point where you have to use the Owner's Manual to actually get the door working.NOTHING about those instructions is correct. They tell you to press certain buttons on the bottom of the motor unit, and it all looks super easy, except the blue LED lights DO NOT flash when they should. And sometimes you get RED LEDs to light up. I have not found out what those are for. I got the door to raise and lower and locked in the up and down set points, but only by repeated efforts try to find some combination of button pushing that works. By some stroke of luck I got it to work.Third:There is no actual wall control panel. You get a little, illuminated button. It makes the the door open and close. Period. No light control switch. No lock control switch. MAYBE if I'd bought a different unit I'd have gotten a conventional wall mounted control, but the little push button they sent me is not like ANYTHING in any of the instructions I've been able to find. It works...just very basic.I was replacing a worn out opener so I had a ceiling mount that worked ok. If you are starting from scratch the flimsy, light-gage, steel angles they provide will not be of any practical use. The preprogrammed remote does work right out of the box. Nice touch. I have yet to tried to program my several cars to work with this thing, so I've set aside a weekend to get that right. It seems to be a reasonably well built unit and it is not expensive, so aside from the points made above I've no regrets...so far.Excellent installation instructions. Troubleshooting instructions were also very helpful. Didn’t expect this opener to be so quiet. Highly recommend, especially for the price.Over all it seems to be everything I payed for. It’s quieter and smoother than the old Craftsman it replaced. Nice little unit.My previous opener (different model) decided to shred its workings so a quick purchase of this moderately priced unit brought the product to my door in only a few days. Very straight forward instructions and easy assembly. Able to use existing wiring and ceiling mounting hardware so a fairly short installation time with basic tools. Programming was dead simple. Unit runs smooth and quiet.I am so very pkeased to have ths installed. Now, instead of having to manually push open the garage door, I just need to push a button. It works wonderfully well I love it.If you only use your door twice a day great product. I’d go with a little better one if your in and out lots during the day.Simple to instal.Installed in garage/ workshop still waiting for electrical to be completed.Super bon achat
